The Courses

Have you ever considered why Jesus died on the Cross?  Do you ponder the relationship of the Ten Commandments to the doctrine of Grace?  Do you fret over the meaning of a passage?

If so, then the Calvary Road Bible Institute is the place for you to come and learn about God’s Word.  The difference of this program is seen in both its methodology and teaching schedule.  The program is based upon materials prepared Dr. Harold Willmington, Dean of the Liberty Bible Institute, supplied by other appropriate materials..

During the 1 1/2 -years-to-2 years of study, you will read, consider, and study both doctrines and individual books of Scripture.

The General Scope of the Program is laid out as follows:

"Beginnings" Semester
  • Old Testament Survey, Part 1
  • Testament Survey Part 1
  • Theological Survey (study of Doctrines) part 1

The History Semester is Part 2 of the three survey coverage's, while the Prophecy Semester is the final part of the surveys.  In other words, you will spend three full semesters doing a survey of the entire Bible and the doctrines taught therein. Those persons completing these courses will be awarded their Basic Certificate.

The Application Semester introduces you to Hermeneutics, the study of biblical interpretation, Apologetics, the defense of your faith, using the epistle to the Colossians as the basis for the study of Hermeneutics and Apologetics in a semester called Hermeneutics, Apologetics, Colossians, and Controversy.

Each student will also prepare one or more independent research papers for each course. These papers are designed to allow the students an opportunity to apply the factual knowledge gleaned in each course.
