Beginnings Semester

Each semester is designed to allow you to cover the Bible in approximately three equal installments. We will carefully look at the background, authorship, storyline and othter important factors related to each book of the Bible. In addition, we will consider twelve major doctrines and the verse "threads" which support these doctrines. This is called "systematic theology."

I might comment a little about the actual approach to these materials. In a true college or seminary program, a survey looks at the storylines of each book and generally does not consider manuscript issues nor debates about authorship. These type of questions are properly part of an Introduction course. Further, our materials also make interpretative comments, an area generally viewed as belonging to the world of commentaries and specific book studies.
